What is the EV Safety Certificate?⚡️

This new course adapts to the new realities of workers, taking into account all the basic systems of hybrid and electric vehicles that have been available on the market for some years now.

This training will help you understand the differences that determine the various applications of each model on the market, their general components, safety rules and different safe intervention methods. It will also enable workers to update their knowledge of basic electricity.

Dates:

  • Electric Vehicle Safety Certification (Auto Mechanics): September 13 and 20, 2024
  • Electric Vehicle Safety Certification (Bodywork): September 24 and 27, 2024

If you wish to attend these courses, please inform your employer, as the training sessions are during the day and your employer must agree to release you during work hours (salary reimbursement applies).

SPECIFIC OBJECTIVES ⚡️

  • Identify and describe the main system components of different types of vehicle: hybrid, plug-in hybrid, electric and fuel cell.
  • Explain the operating principle of the various systems applicable and relate them to the vehicles available on the market.
  • Locate the high-voltage components of each type of system and explain their role.
  • Identify the potential hazards of high-voltage components.
  • Safely defuse systems on different types of vehicles.
  • Master the main functions of your multimeter to measure the various electrical properties of a circuit.

DETAILS ABOUT THE SUBSIDY E.V.

Training costs

The training itself is fully subsidized.

Registration fees of $9/hr for auto mechanics and $9/hr for bodywork.

Training materials

The training manual and appropriate gloves will be provided free of charge as part of the subsidy only.

Salary reimbursement

Employers will be reimbursed a maximum of $21.25/hr for auto mechanics and $25/hr for bodywork upon completion of training.

Please note that training dates in Montreal have yet to be set.
