Qualification

Candidates who pass the exam will receive a qualification certificate identifying them as journeymen.

Journeymen who qualify for first class have attained the highest level, and should keep their knowledge up to date.

Journeymen who qualify for second or third class can retake the exam to obtain higher certification.

In general, third-year apprentices who fail the exam must work for 12 months in the corresponding trade before exercising their right to be re-examined by CPA Montréal.

Note : Candidates who fail the exam do not lose competency cards they already hold.
