COLLABORATION

The collaboration of all individuals subject to the decree is necessary for the optimal delivery of services. Those subject to the decree must provide the Parity Committee with the required information at the specified time. This information must be accurate. You must also bring to the attention of the Parity Committee any changes or errors in the information you have provided.

OUR SERVICES

In terms of information and complaints

  • We inform employees and employers of the rights, duties, and obligations provided for under the following laws and regulations:

– Act respecting collective agreement decrees
– Decree concerning the automotive services industry in the Montreal region
– Regulation respecting the maintenance of a registration system
– Regulation respecting monthly reports
– Regulation respecting deductions

  • We respond to inquiries from employers and employees;
  • We receive complaints and denunciations in case of decree violations;
  • We provide everyone with a website with online services, an office located in Montreal, as well as guides and tools.

In terms of investigations, audits, and law enforcement

  • We conduct investigations and inspections at workplaces and employers’ offices;
  • We claim from employers the sums owed to employees;
  • We initiate civil proceedings when claims filed are delayed in resolution or contested by employers;
  • We initiate criminal proceedings against employers and employees who commit offenses punishable by fines under the provisions of the Act respecting collective agreement decrees.

  • We offer bilingual service (French/English);
  • Our offices are accessible to people with reduced mobility;
  • Any request (complaint, information, support, etc.) can be addressed to us by phone, email, fax, or in person at our offices.

AT OUR OFFICES: We commit to meeting with you in person and addressing your request during your visit. If you wish to meet with a specific person, we will try to accommodate your need.

PHONE: We commit to responding to your request directly or, in the case of a voicemail message, within two business days of receiving the message. If the person contacted specifies on their voicemail message that they are absent for a specified period, we commit to responding to your request within a reasonable time following their return to work.

WRITTEN COMMUNICATION: We commit to communicating with you within a maximum of 5 business days following the receipt of a request sent by mail, email, or fax. If the person contacted by email specifies via the automatic reply that they are absent for a specified period, we commit to responding to your request within a reasonable time following their return to work.

INTERNET: We commit to providing up-to-date information and making the largest number of documents and services accessible as possible.
