Update – Minimum Hourly Rates

❗ IMPORTANT DATES ❗

Pay attention to these two close dates that affect the minimum hourly rates for employees subject to the Decree respecting the automotive services industry in the Montréal Region.

April 17, 2022: All minimum hourly rates in the decree have been increased. For all trades classified at the 1st level, a minimum hourly rate of $13.50 must be considered.

May 1st, 2022: the minimum wage in Quebec will increase to $14.25.

** The wage is equal to the minimum wage provided for in section 3 of the Regulation respecting labour standards (chapter N-1.1, r.3) increased by $0.25.

Starting May 1st, 2022, minimum wages under the Decree that are below 14,25 $ should be read as 14,25$.
