Trades classified by grade

What is a grade?

A grade is a division of 2,000 hours of work accumulated in one or more jobs by a dismantler, a service attendant or a semiskilled worker. A worker may be classified in the first, second, or third grade:

1st grade: 0 to 2,000 hours

2nd grade: 2,001 to 4,000 hours

3rd grade: 4,001 hours and more

Dismantler

  • Essentially, carries out tasks related to dismantling vehicles for storage and sale of parts.

Service attendant

  • Performs various techniques such as lubricating, changing oil, balancing wheels, and applying anti-rust.
  • Installs, removes and repairs shock absorbers.

Semiskilled worker

  • Performs tasks mainly related to the refurbishment, reconstruction, or reworking of vehicle parts or accessories.
  • Installs windshields, windows, hubcaps and upholstery.
