From past to present

The CPA Montréal was founded in 1938. Employers and workers then rallied around the same objective: to reach a mutual agreement for the first time in the history of the automotive services industry.

The CPA Montréal coat of arms is dominated by a golden gear wheel that reminds us of our technical orientation. The eagle holds two symbols in its claws: the first one, the olive tree branch, emphasizes the importance of the mutual agreement present in our industry; the second, the sword, is reminiscent of our will to fight injustice and to protect individual rights. Lastly, the motto Justitia et Aequitas mean that rules are applied with "justice and equity" for the good of the industry as a whole.

Couleur red:	Red symbolizes greatness, boldness, and bravery.
Eagle :	This is an important choice for the CPA Montréal as it symbolizes justice. The eagle is a living icon that symbolizes all matters of authority and equity.
Sword :	The sword can be threatening, when needed, to protect the innocent and avenge those whose rights have been violated.
Olive tree :	This symbolizes respect in the application of the laws and mutual understanding between the CPA Montréal and its members.
Gold :	Gold, first among metals, symbolizes brightness, justice, faith, strength and constancy.
Colour green:	Green symbolizes revival, hope and cheerfulness.
